Cool Waters Project

Cool Waters brings together young leaders and community members to tackle the challenges of climate change along Nairobi’s waterways. By combining local knowledge with practical solutions, the project works to reduce flood risks, improve access to safe, green spaces and strengthen the bonds between people and their river environment. It’s a collective journey towards healthier, more resilient neighborhoods for everyone who calls the river basin home.

Youth City Project

Youth City project brings together young people to shape the future of their communities. Rooted in creativity, collaboration, and shared responsibility, the project empowers youth to lead initiatives that transform neglected public spaces, foster social connection, and inspire civic pride. By giving young voices the tools, opportunities, and support they need, Youth City helps turn local ideas into lasting change.

Riverlife TV Project

RiverLife TV is a community-driven effort to revive the health and vitality of the Nairobi River. By connecting local groups, youth and institutions, the project identifies and showcases restoration work, sparks new collaborations and mobilises action along the Nairobi River. Together, these efforts aim to clean polluted waters, protect riverbanks, and transform the Nairobi River into a thriving, life-giving resource for present and future generations.

Youth Current Project

Youth Current ignites change by equipping local youth to safeguard and heal Nairobi River Basin ecosystems. From mapping pollution hotspots to launching small-scale restoration pilots, young leaders are reducing flood risks, improving water quality, and nurturing climate resilience across watersheds. Their efforts knit communities together, forging a shared path toward a healthier, more vibrant river network, and a brighter future for all who depend on it.
